About the Artist

Hobby:

Hi,I am RACHANA HATHWAR,an oil artist living in Hyderabad, India.I was always fascinated by colours,drawing and painting since childhood and would go to classes as a hobby during my summer vacation and during other holidays and it was during these classes that I found my fascination for nature and it’s colours,cartoons,humans and everything else around which captivated my younger imagination.The colours of nature,trees,sky,clothes,animals filled my eyes with artistic imagination.

Student:

In 2013, I picked up a brush to explore that curiosity as a student,not knowing then that it would grow into the heart of my artistic journey.

The Artist:

Over the years of experimentation I have developed a unique style of art,I paint landscape figurative art with a touch of surrealism which I call landscape figurative surrealism art and I also paint traditional modern art and mixed media art[a traditional 2D medium combined with real three dimensional objects (the jewellery stones also referred as Kundan).

Inspiration:

Nature is my muse and inspiration.Through my work I explore themes that are fundamental to nature and human experience of love,peace,calm,freedom to live,freedom to be.Overtime my art evolved into a soulfull practice that blends together beauty,storytelling,fantasy,imagination,dreamlike.I continue to follow my instinct,allowing my creative process to shift and flow as I do.
